The Philadelphia 76ers lost 88 to 112 on Sunday in blowout fashion at the hands of the Boston Celtics, with a familiar face at the helm. That familiar face is Glenn Rivers , yes Glenn Rivers !! As far as I’m concerned the only doctor that deserves to be mentioned in Philly is J!! With the lost in game 7 against Boston, Rivers holds the record for the most game 7 loses in NBA history with a record of 6-10 and a 17–33 record in potential closeout games.
Often times people mention Rivers as a one of the top coaches in the league and a potential hall of famer as a coach, but my question is why?
After 23 seasons of coaching Rivers only has one championship to show for it with the original big three, all while coaching some of the league's top talents over the years. Talents such as Tracy McGrady, Joel Embiid, Paul Pierce , Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Kawhi Leonard , the list goes on!
He is the ultimate definition of under achieving as a NBA head coach, regardless of his win/lose percentage (.590). And for this he should be fired indefinitely and never be allowed to coach in the NBA again.
