Miami Hurricanes Mock Class

Ohmar Wynn

The Miami Hurricanes have jumped out of the gates with a 4-0 record to start the season. That’s good for their best start since 2017 when they won 10 games and appeared in the ACC Conference Championship Game.

Well known for his tenacity on the trail, Mario Cristobal is now equipped with some success on the field to sell to recruits and a full week to do so with Miami on a bye.

Cristobal & Company currently have verbal commitments from 22 players in the 2024 recruiting class which is good for 17th in the country according to 247Sports so there's plenty more work to be done.

Our good friend Adam Ziomek took some time to put together his latest Mock Class. This is a list of who could be in the class if Miami continues to do the right things and it is subject to change. Read on to see who he expects to jump on board the hot Canes train. Additions to the class are noted in bold...

Whew! Adam is calling his shot with some big names showing up in his Mock Class including five Top247 recruits headlined by Ohio State commit 5-star WR Jeremiah Smith from Opa Locka, FL.

It's well reported that Miami wants to put together an elite defensive line class. The additions of Aydin Breland (Santa Ana, CA) and LJ McCray (Daytona Beach, FL) would put the group in the conversation for best in the nation and would certainly address the depth concerns at Defensive Tackle.

It's not hyperbole to say that the aforementioned Jeremiah Smith might be the biggest recruiting battle of Mario's career and that's saying a lot considering the kids he pursued and acquired in his time at Alabama and Oregon. Smith is considered one of the best Wide Receiver prospect in quite some time and this would be a chance to break the cycle of the top pass catchers in South Florida leaving the state to play elsewhere.

Ny Carr is a recent Georgia decommit. Not even 48 hours after the announcement there were Cane representatives at his campus to pay him a visit. Look for him to be in Miami for a game some time soon.

Mario Cristobal is maniacal when it comes to talent acquisition. Last year was able to assemble a Top 7 2023 recruiting class despite his team finishing with a 5-7 record. With some wins and high production on the field in his back pocket expect him to shoot for the stars...literally!
